Heart Opening Chants & Mantras of Love

Love Your Chanting

Chanting is an amazing way to unburden the heart by releasing suppressed emotions.

One of the many purposes of chanting is to let go.

Heart Opening Chants & Mantras of Love

Om Mani Padme Hum

"Hail to the Jewel in the Locus (of the heart)", a Tibetan Buddhist Mantra of Compassion.  The Dalai Lama believes this mantra can “transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure body, speech and mind of a Buddha.” This mantra is at the heart of many Buddhist traditions.  Additionally, the Tibetan culture tells us that this phrase can bring enlightenment.

Spoken or sung, as you wish:

  • Remembrance of the One: Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad – “Hear O Israel, the Lord your G-d, the Lord is One”
  • Prayer Upon Waking: Modeh ani lefanekha melekh chai vekayam shehecḥezarta bi nishmahti b'cḥemlah, rabah emunatekha.      - I give thanks to you, G-d, for You have returned my soul to me; abundant      is Your faithfulness!
  • Healing: Ana Elna R’fanala – Healing prayer “Please G-d, please heal ‘her’”

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Om Shanti Shanti Om

May all beings everywhere be peaceful and happy

Ya Hakim Ya Hakam

Invocation of Divine Wisdom and Divine Justice.

Ashem Vohu

Ashem Vohu should be recited with proper comprehension. One must act according to it. One must recite it after relinquishing all wicked thoughts from the mind. It is futile to recite Ashem Vohu on one hand and to utter falsehood and deceive on the other hand.

Ashem1 Vohu2 Vashistem3 asti4

Ushtã 5 asti,6 Ushtã7 ahmãi,8

Hyat9 ashãi10 Vahishtãi11 ashem.12

English Translation:

Righteousness1 is4 the best3 good2

(and it) is6 happiness.5

Happiness7 (is) to him,8 who9 (is) righteous12

for the sake of the best11 righteousness.10

Explanation :- The significance of the term `Righteousness' is to be understood as truth, holiness and pristine purity. In our Holy Avesta `Righteousness' is highly praised. For this the words "Staomi ashem : (i.e., I praise Righteousness) are introduced. Purity of the mind and the body is the most excellent wealth and happiness of this world. That happiness which is highest in the matter of truth is attained to that person. The foremost thing which mankind ought to acquire after having born in this world is Truth. (see Yazishn Hã 48, stanza 5).
